Greetings! It’s been a long time since the last blog. The whole team was occupied with respective works. The nationals finals are on the way and Aquila is brushing up their skills for the partially physical nationals round.

The team began with the creation of portfolios. The resource manager started up with the enterprise portfolio, while the engineers commenced the design portfolio. based on the qualifiers, analytics, the portfolios were improved and finished. The graphic designer was loaded with work for the 3d renders of the car as well as creation of content and illustrations for the portfolios. The team manager supervised and guided the work process.

coming to the star of the blog, the manufacturing process, team aquila began with the manufacturing of the car prototype with the help of the sponsor, Light Guide. being exposed to the virtual designing and CAM, the manufacturing engineer had no knowledge about the real manufacturing of the car in the CNC machine. Aquila set a benchmark by breaking the barriers and manufacturing the whole car in-house. After multiple trials on CNC machine, and changes in the car model, Aquila started the final production of the car. It was a tough and tedious process of bringing a virtual model to life. But we succeeded and with flying colours. it took time, but the surface finish was top notch.

finishing the car with paint and decals followed next. The sustainable air ink, made of air pollution of one day in the city, was used to paint the car. After all the finishing processes, decals were applied and the car was ready to parcel.
