Continuing our Learning Sessions series of podcast, yesterday, we had with us Mr. Errol Hale from LEAP (Leading Engineering Application Providers) Australia. Mr. Errol enlightened us about the testing and CFD department of the car-designing process. LEAP has a long established reputation for successfully delivering Computer Aided Engineering CAE software and services to thousands of Australian and New Zealand customers — from global leaders to small local companies. Mr. Errol made us aware of the benefits of using a third party, dedicated software for the virtual analysis of the car. He cited that our current software might now show accurate results, leading to inconsistency in analysis. He also tweaked our new prototype for the upcoming National stage. LEAP Australia has helped multiple award-winning teams from Australia. Already knowing about the F1 in Schools and its regulations, Mr. Errol was able to guide us better with the design. A session with him also helped us understand how teams in Australia function. He also explained about the teaching packages they offer to interested students. LEAP also assured us about future doubt resolution and guidance. Overall, the session seemed to be a significant and critical addition to the series, helping us achieve more in the coming time.
